Connecting a technical platform with the people who choose, use and champion it.
Appsmith is an open-source, low-code platform for building internal business applications. Its proposition connects several audiences: developers building tools, business teams using them and leaders deciding where to invest.
admiral.digital helped translate that proposition into audience-specific narratives, practical content and creative materials. Alongside this, we supported partner acquisition through performance marketing and recommendations to improve the journey from initial interest to a sales conversation.

The priority.
Make Appsmith’s value relevant to the different people involved in adoption, while supporting the development of its partner network.
Technical capabilities were only part of the story. Developers needed to understand how the platform fitted their workflow. Business teams needed to see how it could address operational problems. Decision-makers needed a clear connection to efficiency, flexibility and business value.
The priority was to organise those messages into a consistent framework and turn them into materials and campaigns that supported meaningful conversations.
Our approach.
We started by mapping the audiences involved in choosing and using Appsmith.
Working with the team, we developed personas covering decision-makers, technical and non-technical influencers, and end users. We connected their priorities, barriers and success factors with relevant product narratives.
That framework informed content and creative development. In parallel, our performance marketing work supported partner recruitment, with attention to both generating interest and the quality of enquiries reaching the team.
The work.
A strategic framework for a complex buying audience.
We developed a content strategy that distinguished the needs of developers, business users and senior stakeholders.
Narratives connected Appsmith’s capabilities with practical value: building internal tools, connecting data, improving efficiency and modernising existing systems. Supporting themes addressed open-source development, community, trust and the partner ecosystem.
This gave the team a shared basis for deciding which messages mattered to each audience.
Creative materials that made the proposition tangible.
We translated technical and commercial information into presentation templates, social content and designed sales materials, working within Appsmith’s existing brand identity.
Deliverables included use-case one-pagers for customer support and IT automation, followed by a broader platform data sheet for conference use. We worked with client-supplied technical copy and messaging where appropriate, shaping its visual presentation into clear, usable collateral.
The emphasis was on helping readers understand the application and value of the platform.

Performance marketing for partner acquisition.
We managed paid acquisition activity for Appsmith’s partner programme, including Google Ads campaigns and partner-focused creative.
Campaign management included changes to market targeting, with a focus on Australia and Singapore, alongside reviews of lead quality and progression towards partner meetings.
This connected media activity with the commercial purpose of the programme: bringing relevant prospective partners into conversations with Appsmith.

Recommendations across the enquiry journey.
We reviewed how campaign traffic moved through partner pages, enquiry forms and meeting requests.
Recommendations covered clearer benefits, more relevant headlines, alternative calls to action and ways to distinguish early interest from readiness to book a meeting. We also identified opportunities for follow-up communications to support progression.
These recommendations gave the team practical options for improving the journey alongside campaign optimisation.
The result.
A clearer connection between Appsmith’s technical capabilities, its audiences and its marketing materials.
The work provided a reusable messaging framework, consistent creative assets and sales collateral for different use cases. Partner acquisition campaigns supported lead generation, while reviews of the enquiry journey identified opportunities to improve relevance and progression.
Together, these gave Appsmith practical tools for explaining its value and supporting customer and partner conversations.
