Connecting a global movement with opportunities to take action.
The World Organization of the Scout Movement brings together a global community united by a shared purpose: empowering young people to create positive change.
Across a series of projects beginning in 2020, admiral.digital supported that mission through websites, campaign creative, fundraising-platform support and email communications. Each project addressed a different need, while making it easier for Scouts, national organisations and supporters to engage with the movement.

The priority.
Translate a global mission into clear opportunities to participate.
Scouts needed digital experiences and communications that could serve different audiences, languages and objectives. These ranged from helping delegates navigate international events to explaining sustainability programmes, supporting community fundraising and maintaining relevant relationships with email subscribers.
The priority was to make each experience accessible and useful, while giving the organisation practical tools to manage it.
Our approach.
We worked alongside Scouts’ communications and technology teams, bringing together strategic planning, creative execution and digital expertise around each initiative.
For event websites, we focused on information structure and usability. For campaigns, we translated programme messages into adaptable content. For fundraising and email, we examined the platforms, audience journeys and processes needed to support participation more effectively.
This allowed each project to retain its own purpose while working within the wider Scouts brand and organisational context.
The work.
A digital hub for global events.
We redesigned and developed the website for the 2021 World Scout Conference and World Scout Youth Forum, supporting their virtual format.
The work brought together UX, UI design and development to organise event information, programmes, documents, news and participation guidance. Multilingual content helped delegates access the information they needed, while the website provided a central destination before and during the events.
Creative that brought programmes to life.
For Scouts for SDGs and Earth Tribe, we developed evergreen content packages that explained the initiatives and encouraged young people to get involved.
Copy, social creative and video content translated broad themes such as sustainability and environmental action into accessible messages and practical invitations to participate. We also supported the Messengers of Peace announcement with creative production and adaptation.
Assets were adapted across formats and languages, using translations provided by Scouts, so the organisation could communicate consistently across its international community.

Supporting a shared youth initiative.
Our early work included launch communications, campaign assets and a WordPress website for Global Youth Mobilization, a collaboration involving the Big Six Youth Organisations (World Organization of the Scout Movement, World YMCA, World YWCA, World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award), the World Health Organization and the United Nations Foundation.
The work gave the initiative a digital presence and supporting communications through which to introduce its purpose and engage audiences.

A stronger foundation for fundraising.
We helped Scouts evaluate options for its donation platform, assessing requirements and potential providers before supporting the move to Raisely.
Our contribution included visual identity development, audience and user-journey planning, platform testing and coordination between Scouts, the World Scout Foundation and Raisely.
The focus was on helping project creators and donors navigate the experience, while supporting a more manageable platform for community fundraising.

More relevant email communications.
We reviewed Scouts’ email audience and developed a structured approach to list optimisation, segmentation and subscriber reactivation.
A sequence of emails invited subscribers to reconnect and share their interests. This helped distinguish engaged audiences from inactive contacts and established a clearer basis for tailoring future communications.
Supporting content and optimisation frameworks gave the team a practical structure for managing relevance, audience quality and email performance.
The result.
Scouts gained stronger digital and communications foundations across several distinct initiatives.
A central event website supported international participation. Reusable campaign assets made programmes easier to communicate. Fundraising-platform support helped the organisation move towards a more sustainable technical setup. Email optimisation created a more focused subscriber base and reduced mailing-list maintenance costs.
Together, the work helped Scouts connect its global purpose with clearer, more practical ways for people to engage and contribute.
