Bringing an established school heritage into a clearer digital experience.
Stonyhurst International School Penang brings the Stonyhurst educational heritage to families in Malaysia. Its digital presence needed to express that identity while helping parents understand the school, explore its offer and take the next step towards admission.
admiral.digital connected website strategy, UX and UI design, content and development to create that experience. The work brought the school’s character and practical admissions information together in a website designed around the needs of prospective parents.

The priority.
Choosing a school involves both confidence in its educational approach and access to practical information.
For Stonyhurst Penang, the website needed to communicate the character of the school while making curriculum, school life, fees and admissions information easy to find. It also needed an identity appropriate to the Penang community, drawing on the established brand while reflecting the local school.
The priority was to turn that breadth of information into a clear parent journey—from discovering the school to exploring a visit or making an enquiry.
Our approach.
We started with the relationship between the school’s identity and the information families needed.
Working with the Stonyhurst team, we explored the desired visual direction, organised the website’s content and mapped the routes parents would take through it. Strategy, copy and design developed together, connecting the school’s story with practical next steps.
This carried through into development and launch, with attention to both the parent-facing experience and the tools the school team would use to manage and measure the website.
The work.
A website structured around parents.
We developed the information architecture and user journeys to organise the school’s offer into accessible sections.
Curriculum, school life and admissions content were connected with practical information such as year groups, fees, enrolment steps and school visits. The aim was to help parents move from an initial impression to the detail needed to consider Stonyhurst for their child.
Website copywriting and editing supported that structure, giving the school a consistent way to explain its offer across key pages.

UI that connected heritage with school life.
We worked with the existing Stonyhurst brand to establish a visual direction for the Penang website.
The design balanced a sense of heritage and prestige with a welcoming, human presentation. Page layouts, imagery and information hierarchy brought the school’s character into the experience while keeping content clear and navigable.
The work progressed from wireframes and design concepts through to website development, testing and launch.

A foundation for measurement and management.
Alongside the website, we implemented analytics and tracking through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
This gave the school team access to information about website activity and a basis for assessing the parent journey. The delivery also included an Elementor guide to support website management.
Together, these elements equipped the team to work with the website beyond its launch.
The result.
A clearer digital front door for the school, supported by practical tools for its team.
The website brought Stonyhurst Penang’s identity, educational offer and admissions information into one structured experience. It gave parents clearer routes through the content and towards an enquiry or school visit.
For the school, it established a foundation for presenting its offer consistently, managing website content and understanding how families engaged with its digital presence.
