Content Strategist

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. On-site.
You will be part of a fast-growing team working on global and local accounts, reporting directly to the Senior Content Strategist, and working in conjunction with the Content, Design, UX/UI, and Performance (Performance Marketing and Lifecycle Marketing) teams.

You are a critical thinker, gifted storyteller, and brand builder with an in-depth understanding of how strategy, creativity (content, design, and copy), and digital media can help deliver results for clients. 

You are the key player in the first level of idea generation, capable of executing independently and leading stakeholders through the strategic and creative process. You think both creatively and analytically, using data and insights to translate business objectives into relevant campaign strategies that engage targeted audiences across digital marketing channels.

You are responsible for developing effective campaign strategies and content plans for web, e-commerce, social media, online advertising (PFM, SEM, SEO), and Lifecycle Marketing & marketing automation.

Roles & Responsibilities.

  • Content Strategy: manage the creation of all campaign strategies and content plans across clients and their respective digital marketing channels.
  • Content Planning & Creation: manage the strategic planning of content across all digital channels: web, e-commerce, social media, online advertising, email, CRM & marketing automation; developing content plans, creating content wireframes, developing creative briefs, and assisting with project management of content execution.
  • Creative Development: collaborate with content, design, UX/UI, and performance teams to execute digital campaign strategies from brief to final execution; evaluating creative material to ensure it is ‘on brand and on brief’ offering actionable advice for improvement.
  • Creative Excellence: understand, interpret and respond to creative briefs, including challenging the brief and promoting premium creative concepts that deliver effective campaigns and content plans.
  • Data, Analytics, Insights & Reporting: collaborate with the User experience (UX) and Performance (Performance Marketing and Lifecycle Marketing) teams to use research, data, and insights to enhance your understanding of customer behaviour, audiences, and digital platform engagement. As the bridge between art and science, you use real-time performance results (the science) to inform the creation of effective campaign and content strategies, and creative execution (the art).
  • Stakeholder Relationships: keep up to date with digital marketing and customer experience trends; proactively share knowledge and present digital campaign strategies and content plans to stakeholders.
Requirements.
  • 3 to 5 years proven experience in a content writing and strategic planning role;
  • Agency experience preferred but not essential;
  • Proven experience in customer-centric thinking;
  • Proven experience in developing digital content strategies and campaign plans;
  • Fluent in English to an exceptionally high level (written and verbal);
  • Able to present complex topics in a well-disposed manner;
  • Proven ability to engage and manage senior-level clients (local and international);
  • “Can-do” attitude and proven ability to work in a team environment;
  • Start-up mindset (entrepreneurial & proactive spirit);
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills;
  • The willingness to work from our office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
